Description
As a local family-owned business, we pride ourselves on handling all aspects of vehicle maintenance, ranging from standard WoF repairs and battery replacements to complex electronic diagnostics. We foster a supportive learning environment for our great young team, offering a high level of variety across the diverse range of work we see in the workshop. We are currently seeking a motivated workshop assistant or a second- or third-year auto electrical apprentice with a practical, "can-do" attitude to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. For the right applicant, this role provides a clear pathway to completing an apprenticeship and progressing a career within a dynamic and evolving industry. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad array of tasks, including diagnosing vehicle faults, fitting batteries, and assisting senior staff with mechanical and auto electrical jobs such as replacing starters and alternators. Responsibilities also extend to picking up and cleaning parts, performing jump starts, and assisting with the daily opening and closing of the workshop. To excel in this role, you should be a self-motivated team player with a genuine passion for fixing vehicles and a proactive approach to your work. We value strong work ethics and are looking for someone who is honest, reliable, and punctual, with excellent communication and customer service skills. Attention to detail and effective time management are essential, as is a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Applicants must hold a current NZ driver's licence and be eager to contribute to a busy, professional team environment.
