Kawerau Automotive Mechanics is a locally owned and trusted workshop providing high-quality automotive servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and WOF inspections for our community. With continued growth and a strong customer base, we’re looking for a qualified, experienced, and reliable automotive mechanic apprentice to join our friendly team. About the role: you will work across a wide variety of vehicles and tasks, including general servicing and routine maintenance; diagnostics and fault finding; engine, brake, suspension, and electrical repairs; WoF inspections (authorisation preferred but not essential); preparing customer vehicles for roadworthiness and safety; maintaining workshop standards and delivering excellent customer service. No two days will be the same. You’ll enjoy variety, responsibility and a supportive team environment. We’re looking for someone who has initiative; workshop experience (preferred but not required); problem-solving skills; a positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and within a small team; a full NZ driver’s licence and a commitment to get their apprenticeship theory completed.
