You need to have a practical knowledge of modern diagnostic equipment and be able to work in a team environment repairing and servicing a wide range of vehicles – these include prestige vehicles and light commercials. AVI qualification is an advantage. We offer a pleasant, friendly work environment with weekends off, in a well-equipped workshop and a competitive remuneration package. Burnett Auto Electrical, Motueka's longest-standing auto electrical workshop, is currently recruiting a qualified auto electrician or a third-year apprentice to join their team in sunny Motueka. The role entails diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and computer-controlled systems across private, commercial and industrial vehicles, determining necessary repairs, upgrades, or installations and providing accurate cost breakdowns. Responsibilities also include calibrating and testing electrical components, servicing or replacing defective parts, ordering equipment and installing accessories like immobilizers, alarms, radios and air conditioners. The position requires proficiency in testing headlight strength and alignment, using hand and electrical tools safely, adhering to safety guidelines, working with engine management systems, and servicing electronically controlled vehicle systems. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining automotive electrical equipment, interpreting wiring diagrams, diagnosing and repairing electrical and air-conditioning faults, and completing job cards using SAM computer software. Remuneration, ranging from $35 upwards, will be negotiated based on ability and experience, with a 40-hour work week and overtime opportunities at applicable rates. A company vehicle will be provided to the suitable applicant.

Your will be able to work on New and Used Mitsubishi Vehicles using our specialised Diagnostic tool, carry out servicing. repairs and warranty work. Be part of a very friendly motivated team. A busy, modern and warm workshop in Cromwell requires an experienced, full-time Automotive Technician (Mechanic). Applicants should have a relevant trade qualification or five years of trade experience, with WOF authority being an advantage. The role requires the ability to detect, diagnose and repair faults on all makes and models of cars and 4x4s, work both independently and as part of a team, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, hold a clean and full NZ driver's license (minimum class 1), maintain a high standard of workmanship and be honest and reliable.
