Description

The Rural Mechanic, a local garage based in Waikite Valley, central to both Taupo and Rotorua, is looking for a mechanic or a qualified vehicle technician (AVI). You'll need at least 3 years' experience or a relevant qualification. An AVI qualification would be helpful but isn't essential. Job description: Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and repairing faults in engines and other vehicle parts, repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, performing scheduled maintenance, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a full driver's license are essential. Own tools are preferred. Hours are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Full-time and part-time options available. Preference will be given to New Zealand residents or citizens.

You'll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical and air conditioning systems on a variety of vehicles.
