This person will also need to be confident in their ability to complete repairs to a very high standard and give our customers the best customer service in town. We are looking for someone who is reliable, honest and Friendly while also being very driven and likes to take pride in the repairs they send out the door. We handle a wide range of mechanical work, including servicing cars, light commercial vehicles and trailers. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in the industry and be committed to getting the job done right the first time. While WoF authority is preferred, it is not essential, and we are willing to support the right applicant through the WoF Inspectors Course. Applicants must hold a current full New Zealand driver’s license or an equivalent, possess strong attention to detail and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as answering phones and booking jobs is part of the role. Great customer service and basic computer skills are also essential. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and either a New Zealand resident or holds a valid NZ work visa. A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence is essential, along with proven competence in Scantool diagnostics. The role involves routine servicing, fault diagnosis, test drives, record-keeping, and delivering excellent customer service while adhering to health and safety standards. We’re seeking someone with relevant qualifications and at least three years’ experience, though we’re open to nearly qualified applicants or journeymen with a strong track record. You’ll need solid diagnostic skills, attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–4:30pm, with a rostered Saturday morning once every four weeks.
