Driscoll Motors Ltd is looking for a Automotive Technician. To be considered for this role you will need: previous experience as an automotive technician, to have WOF certification (preferred), exceptional communication skills, to have a sound knowledge of modern diagnostic and repair systems, to have the ability to work well in a small team, to be able to work unsupervised with tasks that are given, to have the ability to engage with customers, a full New Zealand driver's licence and to be a NZ Citizen or a current NZ Work Visa.

We’re a professional, family run automotive service and repair business located in Campbells Bay, Auckland who’s focused on Porsche, Audi and VW, but we work on everything! We have a neat little workshop with lots of gear and a great culture. We seek someone who is passionate about VW/Audi/Porsche brands, takes pride in their work, has an attention to detail, can follow and read instructions, is process driven, can work independently, can speak, read and write English fluently, is digitally savvy; we work on a paperless shop management system. This position is for 40 hours a week, but we'd consider part time if wanted. You will need to have at least 10 years of experience as an automotive technician and are trade qualified, automotive industry training; either Franchise dealership training or aftermarket, experience and knowledge working on Audi, VW or Porsche. From small jobs to large. (Timing chains, engine rebuilds, transmissions, dash jobs etc) be proficient in mechanical and electrical diagnostics (fault finding from noises to AC issues to CAN bus issues to module coding), be proficient with scan tools (including ODIS, PIWIS) and oscilloscopes. If you have a WOF inspectors ticket that's a bonus but not required. All applications are treated with the strictest of confidentiality.

We are currently seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our busy team. Duties and tasks for this full time position include: carrying out vehicle servicing and repairs, accurately diagnosing vehicle faults and service needs, safe test driving of customer’s vehicles, providing excellent customer service – including taking customer bookings when necessary and assisting with customer queries, liaising with suppliers and price up parts, filling out job sheets, maintaining a clean and tidy work bay and maintaining a full complement of hand tools.
Responsibilities include: repair and maintenance of customer vehicles and ensuring work is completed to a high standard and carried out in an efficient and timely manner. You will need a WOF certification (not essential but would be an advantage), experience in vehicle servicing, repairs and diagnostics, a full valid NZ drivers license, the ability to work as a team and unsupervised, and New Zealand Citizenship. Pay and hours will be discussed.
We are seeking to employ an experienced Automotive Technician. NZ Trade Qualification and WOF Authority preferred. Applicant must have a current NZ Drivers Licence – Class 1 and preferably Class 2. We are a rural workshop in Owhango, work is varied and interesting servicing a wide range of vehicles – light, 4WD and Heavy. We also carry out a roadside breakdown service. The successful applicant must have good communication & Diagnostic skills, be honest and reliable and have the ability to work unsupervised. You will need a good attitude with pride in your work and attention to detail. Renumeration is negotiable dependant on qualifications and experience. We are a well established supply company to the cleaning industry in the Auckland region. We're searching for a reasonably experienced person with the ability to perform service and maintenance work and general engineering tasks. In this role you will be one part of our small team who deal directly with the people operating their contracting businesses all around New Zealand and rely on our company for equipment, supplies and competent advice. Our ideal candidate should be competent in a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks including small engines, fault diagnostics and preventative maintenance, self motivated, have good customer rapport, a high work ethic, good communication skills, attention to detail, a current NZ Drivers License and reasonable computer skills. Your duties will include repair and maintenance work on motorised carpet cleaning equipment that incorporate petrol motors, water pumps, heat exchangers, 12 volt DC electrical systems and general engineering tasks. An electrical repair technician qualification for 230 volt appliance repair would be an advantage, but is not a requirement. Hours of work are 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday. Work requirements outside this are rare. Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit. Remuneration is negotiable by experience and will be discussed with you upon successful application.
