Description

Wilderness Motorhome Rentals Christchurch is looking for a Motorhome Technician. Your key responsibilities will start with managing rental turnarounds. This involves conducting meticulous return inspections using defined checklists. Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and habitation systems, and perform moisture testing to catch water ingress early. You will also look after NZ conversions and fit-outs by inspecting newly imported vehicles for factory or transit defects, fitting custom accessories (e.g., inverters, extra storage), and completing necessary compliance work. Refit & Refurbishment: Assess and execute refurbishment work across bodywork, habitation units, and interior componentry for vehicles moving to retail presentation. Perform technical diagnostics: Work methodically across mechanical (servicing, brakes, tyres, oil leaks), 12V electrical, plumbing/waste systems, and body/habitation fixtures. Compliance & Quality: Ensure all work adheres to NZ regulatory standards (WoF/CoF, EWoF, Gas, Self-Containment) and sign off work to match the Wilderness premium standard. Systems and admin expectations include keeping job details, parts, and hours accurately recorded in our fleet management software in real-time.
