Description

Cromwell Auto Centre is looking for an honest, reliable and highly skilled Qualified Automotive Technician to join the team. You will need a relevant trade qualification or at least three years of trade experience, and holding a WOF authority is a great advantage. The ideal candidate can confidently detect, diagnose and repair faults across all makes and models of cars and 4x4s while maintaining a consistently high standard of workmanship. You must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, bringing excellent communication and customer service skills to the workshop. Please note that applicants must hold a clean, full NZ driver's licence (minimum class 1) and be current New Zealand residents.

In this full-time, hands-on role, your daily responsibilities will include following a strip list to remove parts from vehicles, cleaning, labelling and loading parts into stock as well as operating or learning to use a scan tool. Because this is a physical position, you will need to be fit, healthy and hold a current full driver's licence. A forklift licence is a great advantage but is not strictly essential. We are looking for a reliable, punctual and honest team player who is eager to learn, communicates well and takes pride in their work. This role runs Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm and an immediate start is available. Applicants must have New Zealand residency and be willing to commit to these hours.
