Are you passionate about motorcycles? Have a good mechanical aptitude? Winton Motorcycles have an excellent opportunity for the right person to join our team as Workshop Foreman. We are a family business with over 35 plus years’ experience in the motorcycle industry. We have a multi-franchise with a great parts department and a large supporting workshop and on-farm back up service team. We are looking for someone who has passion, enthusiasm and dedication for the motorcycle industry, the ability to lead a team and work well with others, organised, can multi-task, operate a diary, mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and identify problems and parts, who shows initiative and has great self-motivation, great communication skills, provides exceptional customer service building strong customer relationships, computer literate, pays attention to detail and is reliable, committed and driven to help operate a busy, functional and successful workshop department. Experience is an advantage but is not necessary as full training will be given. The Rural Mechanic is a rural workshop, based in Waikite Valley and Central to both Taupo and Rotorua. Business hours are Hours are 8 am-5 pm, Monday to Friday. We are a family inclusive and friendly team and are happy to negotiate hours to suit family commitments. We are looking for a qualified mechanic and/or a qualified vehicle technician (AVI). Diagnosing mechanical faults, performing vehicle and machinery repairs and performing scheduled maintenance. You must have at least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry or hold a relevant qualification. An Authorized Vehicle Inspector (AVI) qualification would be an advantage but not essential. A full Class 1 driver's license is essential. Own tools must be provided (Tool Allowance provided). A good work ethic and a positive attitude are required. Excellent communication skills are a MUST, Full-time and part-time positions are available. Must have New Zealand Residency.
