Description

We're seeking a skilled Technician to join our team at Auto Super Shoppe Ranfurly, a well-established automotive workshop serving the Maniototo community for over three decades. As a Toyota Parts and Service agent and Husqvarna Service and Sales dealership, we offer a diverse range of services backed by strong dealer support. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification in Automotive Engineering, a full driver's license, and strong computer skills. Experience with Warrant of Fitness inspections is preferred but not essential. We value excellent communication skills, a team-oriented approach, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service. You must have New Zealand Residency or a work permit. The Rural Mechanic is a rural workshop, based in Waikite Valley and Central to both Taupo and Rotorua. Business hours are Hours are 8 am-5 pm, Monday to Friday. We are a family inclusive and friendly team and are happy to negotiate hours to suit family commitments. We are looking for a qualified mechanic and/or a qualified vehicle technician (AVI). Diagnosing mechanical faults, performing vehicle and machinery repairs and performing scheduled maintenance. You must have at least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry or hold a relevant qualification. An Authorized Vehicle Inspector (AVI) qualification would be an advantage but not essential. A full Class 1 driver's license is essential. Own tools must be provided (Tool Allowance provided). A good work ethic and a positive attitude are required. Excellent communication skills are a MUST, Full-time and part-time positions are available. Must have New Zealand Residency.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, have pride in their work and have initiative to get the job done. Looking for immediate start for the right applicant. Must be able to identify what a vehicles symptoms are, then diagnose and repair them properly in an efficient and timely manner. Must have at least two years experience either at a dealership or another independent facility. All techs are expected to have their own tools.
