Akaroa Motor Garage is looking for an automotive technician/mechanic to join their a small, busy, rural but well-equipped workshop that works on a wide range of vehicles, equipment and marine of all ages. Experience in these areas is a huge advantage. Preferably, you will have your WOF authority or be willing and eligible to get it. You should have previous workshop experience, enjoy problem-solving, be customer-focused, and committed to high standards. A great attitude, a clean driver's license, and NZ residency or a current work visa are essential. Qualifications are preferred but not required if you have 5+ years of full-time workshop experience. Tasks include diagnosing faults, repairing parts, performing scheduled servicing, and attending breakdowns. We offer a friendly work environment, professional development, social activities and a competitive hourly rate of $28-$34. Akaroa is a stunning town just over an hour from Christchurch, offering a permanent holiday feel with city access.

We seek an experienced/intermediate mechanic for vehicle and trailer WOF inspections, servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on all vehicle makes and models. The ideal candidate must have a WOF inspection certificate, 4+ years of experience, and a Level 4 Certificate in Automotive Engineering. Must have a current WOF Inspectors authority, have the ability to work unsupervised, diagnose technical and electronic issues in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, with the ability to guide and train junior technicians when called upon to do so.
