We are a rural workshop in Owhango, work is varied and interesting servicing a wide range of vehicles – light, 4WD and Heavy. We also carry out a roadside breakdown service. The successful applicant must have good communication & Diagnostic skills, be honest and reliable and have the ability to work unsupervised. You will need a good attitude with pride in your work and attention to detail. Renumeration is negotiable dependant on qualifications and experience. Key responsibilities; client support: serve as the primary point of contact for emails, phone calls, and client interactions, parts procurement: ensure accurate and timely ordering and tracking of stock and parts, administration: provide essential administrative support to the management team. Keep our (mostly online) project systems, client documentation and diary systems organised. You’ll also support the accounts payable and receivable processes and be able to maintain the presentation of front-of-house and shared office areas. As our main front-of-house representative, you'll work onsite Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Fridays from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. In addition to hourly rates ranging from $24 to $30 based on experience, you'll receive an onsite car park and the opportunity to join our social club outings, held six Friday afternoons per year.

We have an opportunity for a Painter’s hand to join our Restoration Technician team based in Porirua, Wellington. Key tasks and Responsibilities as a Restoration Technician (Paint) include : preparation of panels and parts for paint, masking, priming, paint and occasional cut and polish work. As you spend more time with us, we also encourage staff to explore other areas of interest within the workshop environment. As the 2IC, you will be responsible for the seamless day-to-day management of our workshop, driving productivity, ensuring exceptional work quality and the highest levels of customer satisfaction while maintaining operational efficiency. A typical day in the role will involve: advising and recommending different products, tyre costs and tyre performance to customers, attending to customer and telephone enquiries, changing and replacing tyres and /or repairing tyre punctures, performing wheel alignments on vehicles, assisting in the completion of all sales paperwork and computerised invoicing, checking and shelving all new stock and stock supplies are recorded, performing any general maintenance of machinery in the workshop, maintaining, cleaning, and improving the presentation of the workshop and store. Your role will also encompass hands-on people management, acting as a vital link with our valued customers. In addition to overseeing inventory control, scheduling, invoicing, and reporting, you will handle customer interactions with utmost professionalism, conduct workshop health & safety assessment. We seek an individual who is not only technically adept but also self-motived, dependable and organised. Strong computer skills are a must. A genuine passion for the automotive trade is an essential aspect of this role, as you will be the embodiment of the commitment to excellence when interacting direct the client and suppliers.
