Qualified Automotive Technician

We are currently looking for a qualified Automotive Technician to join our busy, well-established workshop in Motueka. We carry out a wide range of work including diagnostics, repairs, WoF inspections and servicing, so this role will suit someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship. Operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (no weekends) Key Responsibilities include vehicle diagnostics and fault finding, mechanical repairs and maintenance, Warrant of Fitness (WoF) inspections, routine servicing and working efficiently while maintaining a high standard of work. You will need to have a trade-qualified Automotive Technician, be reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team, have strong practical and problem-solving skills. A WoF authority preferred (or willingness to obtain). You will need to have a full NZ driver licence. This position is ideally suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, possesses strong customer service skills and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes. As a key member of the workshop, you will be the first point of contact for our customers while supporting internal systems and essential financial processes. Additionally, the role includes following up on outstanding payments with customers and companies, scanning and filing documents and performing general administrative duties to support the team. To be successful in this role, you must hold a full driver's licence and demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively is essential. While not strictly required, previous experience in administration or customer service is preferred, as is familiarity with Xero or SAM software.
