The role involves conducting WOF inspections, diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, servicing vehicles, providing excellent customer service, maintaining records and ensuring workshop cleanliness and safety. Applicants should hold formal automotive qualifications (e.g., NZ Certificate in Automotive Engineering), have proven experience as a technician/mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair skills, possess a current WOF Inspector certification, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, communication skills and a commitment to quality workmanship.
