MTA Appearance at Justice Select Committee
Head of Communications Simon Bradwell spoke to Parliament’s Justice Select Committee this week.
Fighting for greater protection from crime for service station members has been a major focus of our advocacy and media work this year.
We have written to and met with Ministers, made several submissions and released our Position Statement and Action Plan to tackle this serious problem.
Two of our more innovative calls have been for a change to the way offenders who glorify their crimes on social media are dealt with and making assaults on retail workers a new standalone offence.
