Please read these terms and conditions carefully to ensure your application is considered.
This scholarship pays the programme fee for one of the following ServiceIQ training programmes commencing in 2026:
New Zealand Certificate in Retail (Level 3), Please note that the programme has a duration of nine months or
New Zealand Certificate in Retail (Level 4), Please note that the programme has a duration of nine months or
New Zealand Certificate in Food and Beverage (Level 3), Please note that the programme has a duration of seven months or
New Zealand Certificate in Business – Introduction to Team Leadership (Level 3), please note that the programme has a duration of eight months or
New Zealand Certificate in Business – First line management (Level 4). Please note that the programme has a duration of ten months.
The scholarship will not be awarded to applicants that are already enrolled in the programme the scholarship covers
It will not be awarded to applicants that are already enrolled in any ServiceIQ training programme, or another training programme with any other tertiary provider
You must be working a minimum of 16 hours a week in the fuel sector
Your business must be an MTA member
Applicants must have the support of their employer to undertake the training programme
You must be a New Zealand citizen or resident
The scholarship must be used within six months of it being awarded
The scholarship can only be awarded once per person and is not transferable to another person
The scholarship is not transferable to another place of employment should you change employer before the scholarship is completed, unless the new employer is within the same industry, and they are willing to support you; and your previous employer, MTA and ServiceIQ collectively agree to the transfer
MTA and ServiceIQ will publish details of the scholarship recipients and may ask for further information to help promote MTA’s role in supporting vocational education along with ServiceIQ’s training programmes and the scholarship programme. By accepting these terms and conditions for the selected scholarship application, you consent to the collection, use and sharing of your personal information between Inspiring Futures Foundation (IFF), Motor Trade Association (MTA) and ServiceIQ for the purposes of administering, awarding and promoting the scholarship. This may include assessing applications, communicating with applicants, sharing information between the three organisations and publishing the names of successful recipients in promotional material. All personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ)
A selection panel will be convened by MTA’s Learning and Development Manager and Sector Manager – Energy and Heavy Vehicles. The panel reserves the right to request further supporting information. The panel’s decision is final
Incomplete applications or applications received after 5pm, 6 May 2026 will not be considered.
