Specialist Training

MTA offers technical, Warrant of Fitness and sales training, with regular courses in major provincial towns and metropolitan areas.  Branches also run a range of courses, from general topics, such as first aid and fire fighting to technical courses including diagnosing engine management systems and customer service courses such as KiwiHost.

Members also receive a comprehensive OSH Manual and Start-Up Kit free when they join MTA.

Legal and Employment Advice

All Members receive up to 30 minutes free legal and employment advice on any one issue. A comprehensive Employment Pack is available to assist with all aspects of employment and easy to read summaries of major legislation that impacts on the operation of a Member's business – all at no cost.

MTA has developed a national television advertising campaign to build up awareness of MTA Members' dedication to ensuring customers have a better motoring experience. The campaign portrays all MTA members as dedicated professionals and educates the public to look for the MTA logo for all their motoring needs. MTA's annual national conference and regional meetings are perfect opportunities for Members to get together to network with others in the Automotive Industry, as well as keep up to date with industry developments. There’s also regular branch newsletters, member updates and free email updates. Mediation

MTA offers a free service for Members and their Customers to resolve disputes in a friendly, efficient and unbiased way. The mediation service provides a useful step between the customer and statutory agencies and enables Members to concentrate on their business, confident that both parties will be assisted by a neutral mediator to reach an amicable and fair solution.
